Peach and Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding

A modern twist on a classic, our peach and chocolate bread and butter pudding will be a crowd pleaser!


  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup pouring cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 7 slices white bread
  • 60g soft butter
  • 1 cup SPC Peaches
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped roughly


  1. Whisk together eggs, brown sugar, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon and orange zest in a medium bowl or jug and set aside
  2. Spread both sides of bread slices with butter and halve lengthways
  3. In a greased 1 litre ovenproof dish, layer bread slices, scattering peaches and chocolate between each layer
  4. Pour cream mixture evenly over bread slices and let stand until the bread has absorbed most of the cream mixture (45 minutes – 1 hour)
  5. Preheat oven to 180C, cook pudding until firm for 30 – 40 minutes
  6. Serve with a sprinkle of brown sugar
